Hi, I’m Ben

I build rock features - mostly natural stone with tight joins, raked mortar. The kind that looks almost dry-stacked (common in the hills and wineries down south).

I learned the craft from my dad back in 2006, working in and around Perth and the hills region. Core projects include a 3 year project at Deepdale Farm in Toodyay and St Bridgids College in Lesmurdie, becoming the third generation to work at the school.

In 2012 I stepped away to explore other creative work, and after building stonework on my own property overlooking Mountain Quarry in Boya (a daily reminder), I eventually found my way back to the tools.

I live in the Perth hills with my family, our dog Arj, and the resident kangaroos, bandicoots and bobtails that make themselves at home.
